(January 1, 2012) - APSG College Planning (www.apsgcollegeplanning.com) and WCDA are excited to announce a new affiliation to assist WCDA families and student-athletes. APSG and the WCDA share a common goal of preparing student-athletes for college (College Readiness). APSG believes College Readiness for the athlete should include: 1) Admissions and Student Positioning 2) Funding a College Education 3) Recruiting. Seniors Set to Play on Nov. 26th
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 20, 2011) - The WCDA announced the players who will play in the 2011 All-Star Game sponsored by adidas at the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic. The players will be divided into two teams for the game, which will be played at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 26th at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.
The WCDA All-Star Team is composed of high school seniors selected on the basis of nominations received from directors, coaches and scouts, and is based upon a player’s individual performance on the field and overall contribution to his team. [read more]

Diablo FC 94 Tops in North Pacific
U17 Side Sweep the Weekend
(August 15, 2011): Diablo FC 94 topped the North Pacific U17 age group with 4 wins and 0 losses last weekend at the WCDA regional games in Danville, CA. In route to the perfect weekend, Diablo scored 12 goals and conceded 0.
WPFC 98 Black Shine in Utah
(August 26, 2011): WPFC 98 Black completed a 4-game sweep in Utah during the U13/U14 regional games played in Sandy, Utah. After downing Sparta 99 Premier 4-0, the boys defeated FC Portland 3-2 and La Roca Futbol Club 4-1 in two spirited matches. On Sunday morning, WPFC defeated its local rival, Crossfire Premier 3-1 to cap a perfect weekend in terms of results. [read more]
U17 NM Rush Win Far West Regionals
Team To Compete for National Title in Phoenix
(July 1, 2011) Congratulations to the New Mexico Rush 94 Argonauts for winning the USYS Farwest Regionals in Boise, ID. On the day of the final, the team started the day at 8:30 taking on Utah’s La Roca Premier (another team participating in the WCDA). Rush would go up 1-0 about 15 minutes into the first half only to be answered moments later by La Roca. The next 55 minutes of soccer were very even with both teams creating half chances. New Mexico Rush would grab the lead for good with 12 minutes to play and never look back winning the first Far West title for New Mexico Rush, and only the second Rush team outside of Colorado to win a regional title (Florida Rush won on Friday). The boys finished the weekend a perfect 6-0-0. [read more]
Albion SC BU16 Crowned Cal South National State Cup Champions
(June 24, 2011) Albion SC's BU16 team continue to dominate the youth soccer scene winning the Cal South National State Cup. The title of Cal South Champion will send the team to the Region IV championship in Boise, Idaho in June. The team has already secured a spot in the USYSA National Championships this July in Arizona after winning the US National League and was still very focused and determined to come away as the Cal South State Champions. The goal this summer is to be State, Regional, and National Champions. [read more]
Fullerton Rangers '93 Win WCDA U17 Championship
Memorable Final is Fitting End to Inaugural Season
(June 6, 2011, Redmond, WA) - It took 100 minutes and kicks from the mark, but Fullerton Rangers 93 outlasted New Mexico Rush Nike 94 Argonauts to win the WCDA’s inaugural U17 Finals 2-1. The finals were played as part of Crossfire Premier’s College Camp with over 40 college coaches in attendance during the weekend. The outcome wasn’t decided until Fullerton’s Trevor Verone fired home Fullerton’s 6th kick from the penalty spot. On the Argonauts’ 6th attempt, Fullerton keeper, Steven Barrera, dove low to his right to make a stunning save that paved the way for Verone’s game winner. [read more]
WCDA U17 Finals This Weekend
(June 3, 2011) - The WCDA U17 Finals got off to a flying start this evening with New Mexico Rush 94 Argonauts meeting Fullerton Rangers 93. Fullerton’s Nick Escalante got his team off to a fast start with a goal in the 9th minute following a great individual effort. After a Messi-like run down the right side of the field, Nick cut across the box put the ball on his left and found the net with a low shot to the right of the keeper. Eight minutes later, New Mexico Rush’s superb left back, Justin Schmidt leveled from just outside the center of the 18 following a throw-in. [read more]
SDSC's BU17 Premier Wins State Cup
Congratulations to the PQ Premier BU17 Red boys team for winning the 2011 BU17 Division State Cup Championship. Their win advances them to the Regional Playoffs in Salt Lake City, UT from June 14-19. Rio Vista FC Wins 8 New Mexico State Championships
|
(Sunday, May 22) Rio Vista FC has won 8 of the available 14 New Mexico State Championships. Those teams will advance to Region IV Championships June 20th, 2011 through June 26th, 2011 in Boise, Idaho.
