WCDA PLAYER ID PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce the creation of the WCDA Player Identification Program for players born in 1998 and 1999. The primary purpose of the program is to provide an identification path toward the US Youth National Team programs.

The players listed below have be invited to train with the following college coaches on Friday night at the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic in November, 2011:

1. Mario Mora will oversee the program. The one-day event will bring together some of the WCDA’s top U13 and U14 players for competition, evaluation and fun. Mario Mora holds an A License since 1998 from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and is currently working as a USSF Youth National Team (YNT) network scout for the northern California area. 

Mario is responsible for identifying and evaluating elite players from the U-18 and U-16 academy teams and providing recommendations in collaboration with other national network scouts to the USSF YNT academy program. 

2. No cost to our players. There is no cost to the player to be scouted or recommended for this program or to participate in the ID session in Las Vegas. Each participating player will also receive a free WCDA training t-shirt.

3. Training format. Players from the 98 and 99 age groups will be divided into teams of 16. They will train for 30 minutes and play for 60 minutes.  

4. Location. The Friday night session for both age groups will take place on Fields 4 and 5 at the Kellogg Zaher Soccer Complex. Click here for a map and directions.

5. Times. The ID session for the 1999 age group will be held from 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm. Players should arrive at Field 4 at 6:00 pm. The ID session for the 1998 age group will be held from 8:15 pm to 9:45 pm. Players should arrive at Field 4 at 7:30 pm.
