(July 1, 2011) Congratulations to the New Mexico Rush 94 Argonauts for winning the USYS Farwest Regionals in Boise, ID. On the day of the final, the team started the day at 8:30 taking on Utah’s La Roca Premier (another team participating in the WCDA). Rush would go up 1-0 about 15 minutes into the first half only to be answered moments later by La Roca. The next 55 minutes of soccer were very even with both teams creating half chances. New Mexico Rush would grab the lead for good with 12 minutes to play and never look back winning the first Far West title for New Mexico Rush, and only the second Rush team outside of Colorado to win a regional title (Florida Rush won on Friday). The boys finished the weekend a perfect 6-0-0.
