July 27, 2010 - U18 Boys Eastside United 91 Liverpool  Red have won four state championships and last weekend claimed the first national championship for Oregon since 1994.  The team were up at the half of the final against Minnesota's Shattuck St. Mary's . Leading goal scorer and U.S. National Team member, Mikhail Doholis blasted one past Shattuck's keeper in the 30th minute. In the first half, Joseph Tennyson served to Adam Glanzer off a set piece in one of Shattuck's best scoring chances. Glanzer flicked it past the keeper but it was called offside. EastSide adjusted their defense and the backline negated the Shattuck offensive and six shots on goal. They are the 2nd team from Oregon to ever win a National title with the last one being in 1994.
