Among the great things happening at Sereno Soccer Club, the boys '93 White won the U18 Super Division of Surf Cup XXX recently with a 1-0 win over United Futbol Black. Also, Sereno boys 94 White were finalists at the USYS Far West Regionals.
On the alumni front, Sereno alum Robbie Findlay ('86) started three games in the 2010 World Cup, and Brandon McDonald ('86) is a regular starter for the MLS's San Jose Earthquake. From the class of '89, Danny Cruz is now playing for the Houston Dynamo and Blair Gavin logs time in the midfield for Chivas USA. Both Danny and Blair are generation adidas signings. Crossfire Premier B95 Team are National Finalists
Congratulations to the Crossfire Premier B95 team who represented Region IV in the US Youth Soccer National Championships July 21-24 in Overland Park, KS. Crossfire defeated Texas Lonestar SC (3-2) and Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley United (4-0) in bracket play to qualify for the National Championship Final at BU14. Crossfire lost a close final game to Illinois’ Eclipse Select (1-2) and received silver medals commemorating its second place finish in the National Championships.

Teams Advance to USYS National Championships
(July 6, 2010). Congratulations to three teams from founding members of the WCDA teams who have been crowned champions at the USYSA Region IV Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The teams are Crossfire Premier 95 McCormick (U14) West Coast FC (U17) and Eastside United FC 91 (U18). We look forward to following the teams as they head to Kansas play for the National Championship later this month.

University of West Florida to host NCAA Division II Soccer Championships

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida and Pensacola Sports Association will host the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships at Brosnaham Park in Pensacola in December 2011, it was announced by the NCAA this week. UWF has acted as host of the Division II national championships for men’s and women’s soccer two previous times, including the 2006 Division II Fall Festival in Pensacola and the 2007 championships held in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Some say his story is a prime example of how far the sport has come here in Las Vegas. It’s the middle of the afternoon and the McCarran Marketplace soccer fields are alive with activity as players from an adult league meet up for a friendly game.

Inaugural Crossfire Premier Residential Camp
The Inaugural Crossfire Premier Residential Camp will be held from August 15-20 at the beautiful setting of Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. Players will recieve 5 full days of instruction from top level Crossfire Premier Coaches. Campers will have two training session and a game each day.
